Artwork Awards and Juried Events


 2013-"Sugar and Spice" becomes part of a traveling exhibit in China.  January the painting was exhibited at the Children's Palace in Shanghai.  In February the artwork became part of the Chinese New Year's festivities.  It was exhibited at the Oriental Pearl Tower.  During the New Year's celebration the Pearl Tower averages approx. 30,000 per day. 

 "When Good Paints Go Bad has been juried into the Art Assoc. of Harrisburg's International Exhibit. The show opens in May.

Shanghai China - "Sugar and Spice" is one of approx. 225 paintings selected out of more than 10,000 entries from 62 countries to go on to further competition in China.  "Sugar and Spice" and all other paintings were published in a bound book and for sale on Shanghai Zhujiajiao International Watercolour Biennial Exhibition's site.  They will eventually be for sale on Amazon as are prior editions.

2012- GRAND PRIZE WINNER $500 and an Ipod Touch - in the Kakkis Everylife Art Competition for "Rocker Mom" - my pregnant mommy and young daughter.

"Rocker Mom" was one of two pieces of art featured in Washington D.C. at the inaugural Rare Voice Awards Gala honoring members of congress and their staff who give rare disease patients a voice on Capitol Hill

Juried into Harrisburg Art Assoc.'s 84th International Exhibit - "At Least the Monkey is Happy" 

"Sugar and Spice" received 1st place in watercolors in the Harrisburg Art Assoc.'s annual Figuratively Speaking Show

2011 - Juried into Harrisburg Art Association's  83rd International Exhibit - shows starts May 13th "Opening Night" - Sold during run of show

Kakkis Foundation - "Are We Done Yet?" received the grand prize - $500 and a camcorder. Check out my links to go to their site

Juried into the Baltimore Watercolor Society's "Mid-Atlantic Show".  Out of nearly 500 pieces 95 were selected and are on display at the Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda, MD

2nd Place in Watercolor Division at the "Figuratively Speaking" show held by the  Art Association of Harrisburg.  This was for my portrait of a little girl "I Wanna Learn to Dance"
